Bartending can be tricky. There is so much to advertising and promoting to be done that just serving good drinks isn’t enough anymore. In this thread I will be posting different ideas and concepts that work in real life applications. Feel free to share your thoughts, we can all use the help from time to time.
I tend bar at Riverboat Lanes in Wabasha MN. We have been using the HOPR regularly for 3 weeks now and have made some insights that may help others.
We have placed table tents(provided free by the HOPR company)on every table and they have been highly viewed. There is a spot on the tent to put my own price in and it works great. There are constant questions about it and many people have begun ordering them just off that.
I have trained the waitstaff to upsell from a pitcher. Whenever anyone requests a pitcher the waitstaff mentions the HOPR and 9 times out of 10 they have been upgrading.
I noticed it has been hard to keep table tents at the bar so I asked HOPRs to create a laminated HOPR menu for tap beer that I can lay on the bar. It works GREAT. New customers and patrons see it and they either ask questions or grab a table tent to learn more.
So todays HOPR tip: Table tents and laminated Bar Menus/fliers. So easy to get and use!!

Lucas again, as you know by now I work both for the manufacturer of the HOPR and tend bar at River Boat Lanes.
Last Saturday we filled HOPRs 14 times. The management are liking it so much that we are throwing around different HOPR nights to try out:

We have also started using the Chill Rod Holder which helps us keep the Chill Rods away from other contaminates and off of the shelves. It works very well and assures that the rods get frozen horizontally.

I was discussing with my boss what he thought of the HOPR and how he felt it was working for us. I wanted to share with you his thoughts. “They are extremely convenient for both the customers and the servers. The beer stays colder in the HOPR than it does in the keg itself. It’s a great way to bring the party to your table and adds new meaning into “pour me a cold one”. Every bar should have these!
